PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijan has suspended cooperation with the European Parliament, according to a provision included in a draft decision discussed and adopted at a plenary session of the Milli Majlis.

Under the decision, cooperation between the Milli Majlis and the European Parliament is halted in all areas, Haqqin.az reported.

At the same time, the parliament's participation in the EU-Azerbaijan Parliamentary Cooperation Committee has also been suspended.

In line with the charter of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly, a procedure has been initiated to terminate the membership of the Milli Majlis in that body. During the process, the Azerbaijani delegation will not take part in Euronest Parliamentary Assembly events.

Baku also "condemned" the European Parliament's resolution adopted on April 30, claiming it contains "unfounded and biased provisions" against Azerbaijan.

The resolution calls for the release of Armenian detainees held in Baku and reaffirms commitment to protecting the rights of Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh.
