In recent years, Hangjin Banner has been steadily advancing the prevention and control of desertification, implementing projects such as the construction of forest and grassland belts around desert borders, blocking belts across sandstorm paths, as well as photovoltaic belts for sand control purpose, all of which have substantially improved the ecological environment of the Kubuqi desert.
