PanARMENIAN.Net - Sergio Gor, U.S. President Donald Trump's Special Envoy for Central Asia, has described the TRIPP project as a historic initiative aimed at creating interconnected and resilient economies in the South Caucasus and strengthening regional peace. He made the remarks at the B5+1 Business Forum in Bishkek, Factor.am reports.
"Since the historic Peace Summit that brought together Armenia and Azerbaijan, we've continued to advance Trump's route. This corridor will ensure direct transportation links from Central Asia through the South Caucasus and further west. It is a historic step toward building strong, interconnected economies and supporting lasting peace in the region," said Gor.
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio signed a joint declaration in Washington under the TRIPP framework, confirming bilateral cooperation between Armenia and the U.S.
The TRIPP implementation document outlines the operational framework for the initiative. It does not create legal commitments or obligations for either Armenia or the United States.
