Inflation in Kazakhstan slows for 6th consecutive month

ASTANA, April 8 (Xinhua) -- Inflation in Kazakhstan has slowed for six consecutive months, while state budget revenues have exceeded targets in the first quarter of 2026, Kazinform reported Wednesday, citing the government's press service.

Monthly inflation stood at 0.6 percent in March, compared with 1.0-1.1 percent in January and February. Annual inflation eased to 11.0 percent in March from a peak of 12.9 percent recorded in September 2025.

Revenue growth was driven by favorable export prices, increased sales volumes, and improved tax and customs administration, the government said.
